Hello, I’m Eleanor Gray, M.Photog., CPP, owner of Eleanor Gray Photography, LLC. For more than 10 years, I have had the privilege of creating beautiful, timeless portraits for families, specializing in maternity, newborn, and family photography.
For me, photography is about so much more than creating a beautiful image. It is about celebrating the people you love, preserving the connections you share, and creating meaningful artwork that will become part of your family’s story for generations.

In 2024, I was honored to receive the Master of Photography degree, recognizing excellence in photographic skill, advanced education, and service to the professional photography industry. I am also a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) through Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and have received numerous awards for my photography locally and internationally.
I am deeply committed to the professional photography community and currently serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Professional Photographers of California (PPC). I am also a qualified PPC image competition judge at the state and local levels.
A Special Understanding of Mothers, Babies & Families
In addition to being a professional photographer, I am a Registered Nurse with several years of experience in Labor and Delivery. My nursing background has given me a unique understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, new mothers, and the delicate needs of newborn babies.
Newborn safety is always a priority in my studio. I take great care to maintain a clean, comfortable, patient, and welcoming environment where parents can relax knowing their precious baby will be treated with gentleness and care.
My personal experience with special needs has also shaped the way I work with children and families. I understand that every child is unique and that a successful portrait session may look different for every family. Patience, flexibility, compassion, and understanding are an important part of my approach. My goal is to create an environment where every child and every family feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
A Heart for Service & Community
Giving back to others has been an important part of both my personal and professional life.
I have had the privilege of volunteering with Carousel Ranch, an equine therapy program serving children and young adults with special needs. Combining my love of horses with my commitment to children and families has made this work especially meaningful to me and has deepened my appreciation for the determination, individuality, and joy found within every child.
I also previously volunteered as a remembrance photographer with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS), providing photography to families experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a baby. It was an extraordinary privilege to use my photography to compassionately preserve precious memories for families during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
These experiences have profoundly influenced the way I approach my work. They have strengthened my belief that photographs are more than images—they can become an enduring connection to the people we love and a tangible reminder of moments and relationships that can never be replaced.

A Little About Me
I was born in Massachusetts but have proudly called California home for more than 30 years. I share my life with my husband of 28 years, our three grown sons, and two adorable grandsons.
When I'm not behind the camera or involved in the photography community, you'll often find me spending time with my horses and dogs, working in my vegetable garden, volunteering in my community, or simply enjoying time with my family.
As a photographer, Registered Nurse, wife, mother, and grandmother, I understand just how quickly the seasons of life pass. That is why I believe so deeply in creating portraits—not simply for today, but as a lasting legacy for the generations who will cherish them tomorrow.
